The Vision: Ndege Fruit & Veg is a strategic initiative to create a world-class, transparent, and efficient supply chain for high-quality fruits and vegetables from East Africa. As part of our Ndege MarketPlace department, we are seeking a best-in-class aggregator to consolidate a network of local farms. By standardising production, ensuring quality control, and leveraging our OmniGaza blockchain platform for end-to-end traceability, we will establish a new gold standard for fresh produce export, connecting local growers to global markets with integrity and speed.

Expected Impact: This project will empower a network of local farmers by providing access to international markets and stable pricing. The Ndege Group, Africa’s Sovereign Development Trust®, is seeking proposals from qualified entities to act as a strategic aggregator for a network of fruit and vegetable farms across East Africa. The successful partner will be responsible for consolidating produce, ensuring export-quality standards, and managing the supply chain for both on-continent and global distribution. All operations will be integrated with our proprietary OmniGaza blockchain platform to provide unparalleled transparency and traceability for our customers.
Scope of Work
The successful bidder will be responsible for the following key deliverables:
Network Aggregation: The identification, onboarding, and management of a network of small and medium-sized farms across East Africa to meet consistent volume and quality requirements to meet our buyers’ weekly requirements.
Operational Management: The comprehensive management of all logistics, including harvesting, sorting, packaging, quality control, cold-chain transport, and storage.
Supply Chain Integration: The implementation and management of a robust supply chain to facilitate the rapid export of fresh produce to domestic and international markets.
Blockchain Integration: The full implementation and operation of the OmniGaza blockchain platform to record and track all produce from the farm to the end consumer.
Quality & Compliance: Ensuring all produce and operations are compliant with international food safety and quality standards, as well as relevant certifications.
Eligibility Requirements

Pedigree
A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in the agricultural aggregation and export sector, with a strong track record of managing fresh produce supply chains in East & Central Africa.

Demonstrated Success
A robust and diverse portfolio of successfully completed projects clearly demonstrating the effective consolidation and efficient management of a broad network of small-scale farmers in Africa.

Operational Expertise
Demonstrated expertise in cold-chain logistics, quality control for fruits and vegetables, and a deep understanding of international import/export regulations in Africa, The Middle East & Europe.

Fiscal Strength
Audited financial statements for the past five consecutive years, clearly demonstrating consistent financial stability and sufficient capacity to successfully undertake and manage a time-intense project such as this.

Ethical Governance
An impeccable compliance record with no major legal, regulatory, or ethical violations. Bidders must show commitment to social responsibility and governance aligned with the Trust's values.
Submission Requirements

A comprehensive and detailed profile of the bidding entity, encompassing its complete legal structure, ownership framework, and the identification of key personnel involved in its management and operations.

A comprehensive and well-structured proposal clearly outlining the bidder’s approach to each critical element of the Scope of Work, including a detailed and realistic project timeline, a thoroughly developed proposed methodology, and a robust plan for effective operational management throughout the project duration.

A comprehensive, detailed, and itemised budget for the entire project, encompassing all associated costs, expenditures, and financial outlays, along with thoroughly proposed financial models tailored specifically for the Public-Private Partnership (PPP).

Case studies and detailed references for at least three past projects of similar scope and complexity, demonstrating relevant experience and successful outcomes.

All relevant company registration documents, licenses, and a sworn statement of compliance with all Kenyan laws and regulations.
