By tracking every bloom on our OmniGaza blockchain platform, we will provide an unprecedented level of transparency and provenance, from the farm to the final customer.

  • The Ndege Group, Africa’s Sovereign Development Trust®, is seeking proposals for a strategic partnership to manage the consolidation of a network of flower farms under the Ndege Flowers brand. Located in Kenya, the farms will specialise in world-leading varieties of Roses, Carnations, Lilies, and other premium filler flowers. Our flowers will be sold exclusively to bulk buyers and renowned auction houses due to their exceptional quality and freshness. The entire supply chain will be managed on our proprietary OmniGaza blockchain platform to ensure complete traceability and transparency.

Scope of Work

The successful bidder will be responsible for the following key deliverables:

  • Network Consolidation: The management of the merger and acquisition process to consolidate a network of existing flower farms under the Ndege Flowers brand.

  • Operational Management: The comprehensive management of all flower farming operations, including cultivation, harvesting, quality control, and cold-chain logistics.

  • Exclusive Sales Management: Managing exclusive sales channels to bulk buyers and auction houses, ensuring a consistent and high-value market for all produce.

  • Blockchain Integration: The full implementation and operation of the OmniGaza blockchain platform to record and track every stage of the supply chain in real-time.

  • Quality & Compliance: Ensuring all operations adhere to the highest international standards for floriculture, including environmental and ethical certifications.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Pre qualification Criteria 1: Pedigree

    Pedigree

    A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in the East African commercial floriculture industry, with a strong track record of managing large-scale operations in either Kenya or Ethiopia.

  • Pre qualification Criteria 2: Demonstrated Success

    Demonstrated Success

    A strong and diverse portfolio of sales and successfully completed projects involving the strategic aggregation of agricultural assets, as well as the efficient management and optimization of high-value export produce.

  • Pre qualification Criteria 3: Operational Expertise

    Operational Expertise

    Demonstrated expertise in farm management, cold-chain logistics, quality control for flowers, and a deep understanding of the global flower market, particularly European auction houses.

  • Pre qualification Criteria 4: Fiscal Strength

    Fiscal Strength

    Audited financial statements for the past five consecutive years, clearly demonstrating consistent financial stability and sufficient capacity to successfully undertake and manage a resource-intensive project.

  • Pre qualification Criteria 5: Ethical Governance

    Ethical Governance

    An impeccable compliance record with no major legal, regulatory, or ethical violations. Bidders must show commitment to social responsibility and governance aligned with the Trust's values.

Submission Requirements

  • A comprehensive and detailed profile of the bidding entity, encompassing its complete legal structure, ownership framework, and the identification of key personnel involved in its management and operations.

  • A comprehensive and well-structured proposal clearly outlining the bidder’s approach to each critical element of the Scope of Work, including a detailed and realistic project timeline, a thoroughly developed proposed methodology, and a robust plan for effective operational management throughout the project duration.

  • A comprehensive, detailed, and itemised budget for the entire project, encompassing all associated costs, expenditures, and financial outlays, along with thoroughly proposed financial models tailored specifically for the Public-Private Partnership (PPP).

  • Case studies and detailed references for at least three past projects of similar scope and complexity, demonstrating relevant experience and successful outcomes.

  • All relevant company registration documents, licenses, and a sworn statement of compliance with all Kenyan laws and regulations.
