The Vision: The Ndege Goat Farms initiative is a strategic effort to establish a world-class, ethical, and sustainable livestock production model in Kenya. This project, a new component of our Ndege MarketPlace department, will oversee the management of our farms in Samburu and Amboseli. Our goal is to set a new standard for quality, animal welfare, and traceability. By managing our herds with a focus on sustainable practices and leveraging our OmniGaza blockchain platform for every step of the journey, we will ensure that our goat meat products are of the highest quality and their provenance is completely transparent.

Expected Impact: This venture is expected to revitalise local economies through job creation and skills transfer. The Ndege Group, Africa’s Sovereign Development Trust®, is seeking proposals from a qualified farm management company to enter a strategic partnership to manage our goat farms in Samburu and Amboseli, Kenya. The successful partner will be responsible for the comprehensive operational oversight of these farms, ensuring the highest standards of animal husbandry, product quality, and supply chain integrity. All produce from these farms will be sold through The Ndege Group’s channels, with every stage of the supply chain tracked on the OmniGaza blockchain platform for full transparency.
Scope of Work
The successful bidder will be responsible for the following key deliverables:
Farm Operations Management: Comprehensive management of all day-to-day farm operations, including herd management, breeding programs, feeding, and infrastructure maintenance.
Animal Health & Welfare: The implementation of robust veterinary and animal welfare programs to ensure the health of the herds and compliance with all ethical standards.
Supply Chain & Logistics: The management of all logistics, from livestock transport to processing and cold-chain storage.
Blockchain Integration: The full implementation and operation of the OmniGaza blockchain platform to record and track all produce from the farm to the end consumer.
Quality & Compliance: Ensuring all operations and produce are compliant with international standards for food safety and ethical livestock farming.
Eligibility Requirements

Pedigree
A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated and proven experience in managing large-scale commercial livestock operations and farm management, with a particular focus on goats or other small ruminants.

Demonstrated Success
A strong and diverse portfolio of completed projects clearly demonstrating the successful management and coordination of multiple farm locations as well as the oversight of complex and multifaceted supply chains.

Operational Expertise
Demonstrated extensive expertise in animal husbandry, comprehensive veterinary care, and the efficient management of agricultural supply chains, encompassing logistics, quality control, and strict compliance with international export regulations.

Fiscal Strength
Audited financial statements for the past five consecutive years, clearly demonstrating consistent financial stability and sufficient capacity to successfully undertake and manage a demanding project like Ndege Goat Farms.

Ethical Governance
An impeccable compliance record with no major legal, regulatory, or ethical violations. Bidders must show commitment to social responsibility and governance aligned with the Trust's values.
Submission Requirements

A comprehensive and detailed profile of the bidding entity, encompassing its complete legal structure, ownership framework, and the identification of key personnel involved in its management and operations.

A comprehensive and well-structured proposal clearly outlining the bidder’s approach to each critical element of the Scope of Work, including a detailed and realistic project timeline, a thoroughly developed proposed methodology, and a robust plan for effective operational management throughout the project duration.

A comprehensive, detailed, and itemised budget for the entire project, encompassing all associated costs, expenditures, and financial outlays, along with thoroughly proposed financial models tailored specifically for the Public-Private Partnership (PPP).

Case studies and detailed references for at least three past projects of similar scope and complexity, demonstrating relevant experience and successful outcomes.

All relevant company registration documents, licenses, and a sworn statement of compliance with all Kenyan laws and regulations.
